Stellar News December 2024 2024 Stars are Shining Bright and Continued Growth in 2025Message from Founder and CEO, Andrea Goddard Term 4 has been abuzz with celebration as we join families and school communities to honour the incredible achievements of our Year 12 Stars Graduates and all 3,400+ Stars students across Australia. Students’ heartfelt reflections on the Stars program and excitement for the future are a testament to the impact of the Stars program. Stars has proudly established 10 new programs in 2024 in addition to 10 new programs in 2023, and we have grown by around 20 per cent per year for the last two consecutive years. In 2025, we’re on track to support more than 4,000+ First Nations girls and young women. This year, we celebrate a record number of Stars Graduates completing Year 12. With an impressive 90 per cent Year 12 completion rate nationally - surpassing the national average for all female students by 9 per cent - Stars continues to drive extraordinary outcomes for First Nations young women. It is particularly notable when compared to the national Year 12 completion rate for First Nations 20-24 year olds of 68 per cent. These results wouldn’t be possible without our remarkable team of 200+ Stars staff. Their unwavering dedication, love and care for the Stars young women is unmatched, and their impact is felt deeply by every Stars young woman. We also extend heartfelt gratitude to our school, Government, business and philanthropy partners, as this generosity and shared commitment allows Stars to champion education and the empowerment for First Nations girls and young women. As we all pause to recharge this summer, let’s take pride in the meaningful difference we’re creating together. Thank you so much for your ongoing support.
