We hope you are having a great summer! New Student Orientation (NSO) and Second-Year Orientation (SYO) are just around the corner, and we would love for you to be involved and welcome your fellow Quakers to Penn! Preceptorials

You may recall Preceptorials from your own NSO! These one-time sessions introduce students to a variety of the University’s resources. This year, we are opening up NSO & SYO Preceptorials to be hosted by SAC-recognized student organizations for an audience of first- and second-year undergraduate students.

NSO & SYO Preceptorials will occur on Saturday, August 26 from 11am to 2pm & Sunday, August 27 from 11am to 2pm. Preceptorials can run anywhere from 45-90 minutes and can be offered more than once. Classroom availability is limited, so we encourage you to host a Preceptorial in a space managed by your student group or virtually – but we can also help to secure a classroom as needed.

Grant Opportunities

There are ways to get involved with our office even after NSO & SYO! Explore the opportunities that we offer beyond the classroom. We encourage you to apply for a First-Year Experience (FYE) and/or Second-Year Experience (SYE) grant. We can assist with marketing your events and funding up to $500!

Application Deadlines: Wednesday, November 1 at 11:59pm for fall grants & Thursday, March 1 at 11:59pm for spring grants.
