IMPORTANT:  Update for Residents and Families: Outbreak declared over at Calvary Ryde

Date: 21 February 2022

To: All staff at Calvary Ryde

From:  Amanda Bennett, General Manager, NSW

I am very pleased to inform all staff that no additional residents have tested positive for COVID-19 at Calvary Ryde in the latest round of testing.

In line with Public Health Unit advice, as of midnight tonight, the outbreak at Calvary Ryde can now be declared over. Level 1 residents will be de-isolated from their rooms and may move freely about their environment.

Visitation under non-outbreak conditions can now recommence from tomorrow 22 February 2022, consistent with Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care.

Information for staff and visitors

  • Visiting hours are between 11.00am and 6.00pm, with last entry permitted at 4.30pm.
  • Visitors will be required to complete screening requirements prior to entry and wear appropriate PPE (including face mask and shield) whilst visiting. PPE is provided by Calvary.
  • Visitors will be required to have a rapid antigen test (RAT test) before entering the home.
  • As always, visitation exceptions will be made for residents receiving end of life care and for compassionate visits.

Thank you to all of our Calvary Ryde staff for ensuring our residents have continued to receive the safest possible care over this time. Your hard work is very much appreciated.
