New Projects, Reader Feedback, and More! No images? Click here Hooray, Winter is officially over! What a strange time it's been since my last newsletter. I haven’t spent as much time writing as I have in the past, partly because the fantastic Olympics had me glued to the screen for practically its entire three weeks. But that’s not the main reason for my reduced keyboard time. While I didn’t spend as many days writing as I did for previous books, I’ve actually written a whole book—and more—since I last checked in with you. A New Idea - Finished in Record TimeAt the end of April and the beginning of May, inspiration struck. By May 2nd, I was typing away, and just 49 days later, the book was finished! This project is something completely new and different for me, which led to an amazing flow of creativity. The book will likely hit shelves in the middle of next year, but first, I need to navigate a new editing process. The title will be intriguing, and I hope it piques your curiosity! A Follow-Up Story Already in ProgressInspired by the completion of my latest book, I began writing a follow-up story the very next day. Some familiar characters return, and I’m about halfway through this new project. Reader Feedback from 'Ages of Pages' Event
Do you remember the "Ages of Pages" event I attended in April? I sold a bunch of books, and the positive feedback has been rolling in. Here are some highlights from readers:
Exploring New Platforms for My BooksI’m currently exploring new ways to make my books available online, beyond Amazon. If you’re using another platform, I’d love to hear what works, what doesn’t, and any recommendations you might have. Supporting Schools and LibrariesRecently, I sent out a few books to a school and a library that requested copies based on recommendations from readers. I’m always happy to support NZ schools or libraries interested in my books. If you’ve enjoyed any of my works, please don’t keep it a secret! See you next time! Ian x |
