Click here ![]() May 22, 2025 A former member and longtime friend of NRB, Arthur’s legacy as a passionate student and teacher of God’s Word has left an indelible mark on the world—and on the hearts of all who knew her. Born on November 11, 1933, in Jackson, Mich., Arthur experienced both deep hardship and remarkable transformation early in life. Following a painful divorce and a season of personal crisis, she gave her life to Christ on July 16, 1963. That morning marked the beginning of a life devoted to studying, teaching, and living the truth of Scripture. More than just background noise, Christian content emerged as an active influence in how many Americans engaged with the political moment—through prayer, perspective, and ultimately, at the polls. ‘On to the Next’: Stacy Washington on Military Life, Media, and Living with Purpose Stacy Washington’s voice is one of conviction, clarity, and courage—fueled by her faith, her upbringing, and her time in uniform. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Washington is best known today as a national radio host, Emmy-nominated TV personality, author, and fierce advocate for traditional American values. But long before she was heard on airwaves, she was deciphering aircraft maintenance trends and supporting operations abroad. Her military journey, she says, didn’t just shape her—it launched her. This week, NRB President & CEO Troy A. Miller joined voices across leading media outlets to champion religious freedom, defend AM radio, and celebrate a major legal victory for broadcasters alongside Mike Farris, NRB general counsel. Miller was featured by The Media Line and Inside Radio and contributed commentaries for Radio World and Radio Ink. He also spoke with Ray Richardson (WLOB), Jeff Stein (News/Talk 1540 KXEL), Andy Hooser (The Voice of Reason), and Pastor Bruce Oliver (Talks for Christ). Dr. Jerry Newcombe also spotlighted NRB’s Barna research in a feature on the influence of Christian media. Honoring Brad Mattes’ 50 Years of Faithful Pro-Life Leadership This year marks an incredible milestone for Brad Mattes, president of Life Issues Institute, as he celebrates his golden anniversary in pro-life advocacy. “When God lit the passion for life in my heart,” Mattes shares, “He withheld how long that battle would entail. But even after fifty years, the passion continues to burn brightly.
