Full closure speeds up work in Duncan Maclean Link

The full closure of Duncan Maclean Link last weekend enabled us to complete the two raised table crossings at the intersection with St Lukes Road.  This means that the major works there have been reduced from two weekends to one.  We still have to complete footpaths, landscaping, signage and a general tidy-up to finish work in Duncan Maclean Link.   We thank you for your patience while this essential work was done and the road was closed.

Work continues on other parts of the project.  We have the last raised table crossing to build on the weekend of 14-17 February, this one on the westbound motorway on-ramp.

Weekend of Friday 14 to Monday 17 February

We will be building the last of the four raised table crossings this weekend, this time at the westbound motorway on-ramp.  This will mean that again, like this week, there will be no left turn onto the on-ramp from St Lukes Road.

A detour will be in place for traffic wanting to access SH16 westbound going along Great North Road to Waterview.  There they can access SH16 westbound and the Waterview Tunnel.

Monday 17 to Friday 21 February

Once the final raised table crossing is built this weekend our focus this week will be on completing all outstanding sections of footpath and cycleway, more landscaping, erecting signage, and having a general tidy up.  The planned works can largely be completed from within shoulder closures and disruption to traffic will be minimal.

No work on weekend of 21-24 February

We will not be doing any work over the weekend of Friday 21 to Monday 24 February due to the Six60 concert at Western Springs on Saturday 22 February. With more than 50,000 people expected to attend this concert we know this area will be busy so have deferred work to restart on Monday 24 February.

Final works

After the weekend break for the Six60 concert we have the final set of major works. This involves milling and resealing the pavement on the St Lukes Road Bridge.  This will require night-time closures of the motorway off-ramp and St Lukes Road southbound from Great North Road.  We will provide more details next week.
