Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident and Family Members,

COVID-19 Update for Residents and Families of Calvary Kelaston

Further to our recent update, we are pleased to inform residents and families that all tested Calvary Kelaston residents have now received negative results from the latest round of testing.

This means we have been able to lift the restrictions at Calvary Kelaston, and visitors are permitted entry, subject to guidelines.

Are visitors allowed?

Calvary Kelaston is now open to visitors.

One single nominated visitor will be permitted per resident during the Home’s visiting hours, due to the heightened risk of infection and community transmission. This will be in place until further notice.

Visitation exceptions may be made for residents receiving end of life care, or who may be experiencing distress, or where a special care and support role is provided. Please speak with the Manager of your Home to discuss arrangements.

What happens now?

As a precaution, our staff will continue to closely monitor all residents for symptoms of COVID-19.

We thank residents and families for your continued support and understanding during this challenging time. You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends.

We are also very grateful that families continue to work with us so generously to ensure the safety of your loved ones in our care, and look forward to receiving visitors back into the home.

Sincerely,

Sherryn McMahonGeneral Manager Aged Care
