Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident and Family Members,

COVID-19 Update for Residents and Families of Calvary Lower Plenty Garden View

Following our last update, I am writing to advise that Calvary Lower Plenty Garden View currently has a total of seven (7) residents and twelve (12) staff who remain positive to COVID-19, which brings the total number to nineteen (19). All residents who tested positive to COVID-19 are in Lavendar Unit and staff remain isolating at home.

What does this mean for residents and families?

Residents in Lilac Unit can now leave their room and dine and conduct activities communally in a COVID-safe manner. They will not be tested unless they are symptomatic.

Staff will continue to wear N95 masks and shields, and will continue to monitor all residents for any symptoms of COVID-19.

The residents who had tested positive is continuing to receive care in their room, and their family is being kept informed. They will be RAT tested on Friday 14 January 2022. In the event there are no further cases tomorrow, the residents who have tested negative and are asymptomatic will be allowed out of their rooms. Keeping the positive residents isolated until they are clear.

We thank residents and families for your continued support and understanding during this challenging time.

Sincerely,

Sharon MartindaleGeneral Manager Aged Care
