    Year of Civic Engagement (2021-2022)

    Year of Civic Engagement Logo

The Provost’s theme year encourages individual students, faculty and staff as well as departments and centers to create programming that relates to the topic in many contexts: the sciences, the humanities, social culture and policy, the arts, etc. To further this goal, the Provost’s Office sponsors the Year of Civic Engagement Grants Program to offer opportunities to create, participate in, and learn about curiosity and related fields.

Penn faculty, students, and staff can apply, either individually or in groups. There will be some additional funding at a higher level available for special projects—generally, larger conferences, speakers or special symposia that are co-sponsored by several Penn Schools or Centers.

    Preceptorials Logo

These informal, non-credit courses on interesting topics, developed by faculty and staff have long been a favorite program here at Penn!

Preceptorials offer a unique way for students to take a closer look at the cultural, social, and intellectual environment at Penn.

Would you like to host a Preceptorial for Penn students? We allow Penn faculty, staff, and Penn Centers to host these seminars. Individual students and organization can co-host a Preceptorial with a Penn faculty or staff member. We accept Preceptorial submissions on a rolling basis.

    Host a Preceptorial!
