Registration for the West Hartford Girls Basketball League (WHGBL) is in full swing — and time is flying! A quick reminder that regular registration closes on October 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM.  That's only 20 days away! 

After that date, late registration will be available; however, the fee will increase from $150 to $200. Save yourself the additional $50 — and secure your daughter’s spot today!

Also, don't forget to invite other friends who have daughters to join the league.  Do so immediately.  Don't delay!

Exciting League Updates

We’re thrilled to announce that we have six amazing team sponsors this season — one for each team in our Seniors Division! That means brand-new team names are coming your way soon. Stay tuned for our official sponsor announcement and please join us in thanking these local businesses for their generosity and support of our league.

Coaches Needed

We’re currently finalizing our Head Coaches for the upcoming season. If you or someone you know would like to be considered for a Head Coach or Assistant Coach position, please indicate your interest when registering your daughter or email president@whgbl.org.

• Head Coaches are selected by the WHGBL Board of Directors.

• Assistant Coaches are chosen by each team’s Head Coach and approved by the Board.

Coaching is a rewarding way to make a difference in our community — and to help our players grow as athletes and leaders!

Beginning next week, we’ll introduce Coach’s Corner, a weekly feature offering helpful drills, training tips, and insights to help parents, players, and coaches improve their understanding of the game.

📘 The Rules Ring
Also launching next week, The Rules Ring will provide updates and reminders about league rules, game-day expectations, and helpful clarifications for everyone involved.
