We are excited to welcome students back to campus, and look forward to a semester filled with opportunities for connection, engagement, and community building. Our peer mentors and campus partners have a full calendar of events planned throughout August and September, including Polaroids and Pastries; Stay Afloat This Semester; Bulldog Bash; Queso & Questions; Lights, Camera, Lawn!; Popsicles by the Pool; Battle of the FREXs: Sand Volleyball; and the Air Force Birthday Celebration. These programs are designed to give students opportunities to meet new incoming students, build connections, learn about campus resources, and feel more connected to the Bulldog community. Our peer mentors will be actively supporting these events and sharing their own experiences and tips to help students feel welcomed and successful. We are looking forward to seeing our students show up, get involved, and make the most of these opportunities. #GOBULLDOGS!

Thank you for a great move-in weekend! It was great meeting many of you during opening weekend in August. From move-in, to Matriculation, through Orientation, the students were engaged, enthusiastic, and eager to meet others on campus. Everyone in Student Affairs is excited to be meeting with students as they begin to navigate their fall 2026 semester. The Student Affairs Office is here to support, guide, and be a resource to you and your students here at TLU. Connect@TLUStudent Engagement is off and running. 55 Programs in 55 Days has launched across campus. This showcases the first 55 days of fall classes, where there is always at least one event going on at the Seguin Campus that every student can attend. Participating in events is a great way to meet people and get connected. All events are listed on Connect@TLU, and students were shown how to create their event pass to check in to each event during orientation. Click the link below to see what events are happening. Gold Rush week is coming September 7–12. Living Learning CommunitiesWe are excited to have over 540 students living on campus this fall. Our resident assistants are busy hosting programs with the residents on campus. The Living Learning Communities (LLC) are also up and running. The housing staff along with the faculty involved with the LLCs has met to set up programming each month that will focus on the various LLCs so students can begin meeting folks in different areas within their halls/apartments. Office of Career DevelopmentThe Office of Career Development is excited to welcome our students back! At TLU, career development begins from day one! The Office of Career Development is here to help students connect their TLU experience to their future goals through individualized career coaching, resume and LinkedIn support, internship opportunities, career fairs, employer connections, graduate and professional school preparation, and more. We encourage families to remind students that they do not need to have their entire career figured out to get started. Whether they are exploring majors and careers, searching for an internship, preparing for an interview, or planning life after graduation, our team is here to help Bulldogs confidently take their next step. Kelsey Cruz, MEd, Director of Career Development & Lopez Scholars Jon & Sandra Moline Center for Servant Leadership (CSL)Service-learning connects classroom learning with meaningful community engagement while building career-ready skills such as leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. The Jon & Sandra Moline Center for Servant Leadership (CSL) is the university’s hub for service-learning and community engagement, connecting students and faculty with opportunities to learn, serve, and lead. Through GivePulse, students can explore community partners and service opportunities, like H.O.T. Dogs Day of Service, while tracking their engagement. At graduation, students can leave with both an academic transcript documenting academic achievement and a service-learning transcript showcasing service, applied learning, and skills—helping them strengthen resumes and tell their career-readiness story.
