Dear

Re: COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination Directions for Healthcare Setting Workers

I am writing to inform you about recent changes to the vaccination requirements announced by the South Australian Government that will affect you if you work in public hospitals, including all services provided by Local Health Networks, and private hospitals.

Mandatory vaccination has been introduced for workers engaged in work or duties in public hospitals and private hospitals, including contractors, volunteers and students undertaking placement regardless of whether they work in a patient or a non-patient area.

Workers who are unable to have a COVID-19 vaccine can request a COVID-19 vaccination exemption for medical reasons.

From 12:01am on Monday, 1 November 2021, workers in these healthcare settings must have:

  • received at least one dose of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccination.
  • received or have evidence of a booking to receive a second dose of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine within one month of the first dose, and
  • provided the operator of the health care setting with proof of their vaccination status upon request.

More information is available here.

Please stay safe, and if there is anything we can do to assist you during this time, please don't hesitate to contact the office on 03 9940 3900 or email: info@audiology.asn.au

Yours sincerely
