Staff Update: Calvary Muswellbrook will re-open to visitors from 21 April 2022

Date:   21 April 2022

To:       All staff at Calvary Muswellbrook

From:  Sandeep Kandel, General Manager Aged Care

I am pleased to inform staff that all tested Calvary Muswellbrook residents have received negative results from the latest round of testing that occurred on Tuesday 19 April 2022. In line with Public Health Unit advice, we now are able to declare the outbreak over, and lift some of the current visitation restrictions at Calvary Muswellbrook.

Consistent with Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care, Calvary Muswellbrook will welcome more visitors back into the home from 21 April 2022. Some precautions will remain in place to help keep our residents, their visitors and our staff as safe as possible. Please see below:

Information for visitors

  • There is now no limit to the amount of visitors allowed per resident, per day.
  • Visitation hours are from 11.00am to 6.00pm with last entry to the home at 4.30pm. Once in the home, visitors may stay later.
  • All visitors will be supplied with the appropriate PPE to wear whilst visiting as instructed by staff.
  • Visitors will be required to have a rapid antigen test (RAT test) before entering the home.

Thank you for all that you have done to ensure our residents continued to receive the safest possible care, with such empathy and compassion over this challenging time. Your hard work is appreciated.

We all look forward to receiving more visitors back into the home.
