Creative healing through hip-hop

"We’re learning every day how hip-hop – something with such natural healing qualities – can intersect with therapeutic practices like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. When we blend the two, we create something powerful that can change lives." - Optamus, Downsyde.

For more than five years, the Healthway‑funded HIPHOP101 program has been transforming young lives across Western Australia. Through music, young people are finding their voice, building confidence and learning to manage their emotions in constructive, creative ways.

Arts Against Vaping

Arts Against Vaping is a Healthway targeted grant initiative, which supports arts organisations to embed vaping education into their projects and community outreach.

We’re looking to partner with local arts groups, community organisations and local governments to support bold, creative projects that spark dialogue and raise awareness about the harms of vaping.

Healthy Schools program

WA public schools (and their P&Cs) can apply for Healthway funding between $3,000 and $5,000 to support projects that boost the health and wellbeing of their students and the wider school community.

Think physical activity programs, school vegetable gardens and mental health or vaping education campaigns.

Apply before March 30 2026.

Let's Grow Grants program

The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, on behalf of the WA Planning Commission, is inviting schools and community groups across Perth and Peel to apply for grants that support local tree‑planting and greening initiatives.

These grants back community‑led ideas that make our neighbourhoods cooler, greener and healthier.

Appy before 30 June 2026

Design a Crunch&Sip® bookmark

To celebrate Book Week 2026, Cancer Council WA is inviting all WA primary school students to design a Crunch&Sip® bookmark.

The design should inspire kids to crunch on a colourful variety of vegetables and drink plenty of water every day. It’s a fun way to boost healthy habits while celebrating a love of reading.

Entries close at 12 pm, Friday 3 April 2026.
