SH2 & SH29A Truck and trailer movements through site access points to move construction plant and deliver materials. No traffic delays expected. From Monday to Friday. Days: 9am to 4pm.

SH2 TEL North-bound road closure, south-bound lane closure sewer relocation work/stone column work Monday 17 February and Tuesday 18 February 2020. Nights only 8 pm to 5am.

SH2 TEL lane closure stone column work Wednesday 19 February and Thursday 20 February Nights only 8pm to 5am.

SH2 Maunganui Road South-bound left lane closure traffic switch Sunday 23 February. Night only 8pm to 5am.


Advanced notice of significant works
SH29A both directions
lane closure for concrete barrier removal Sunday 8 March to Thursday 12 March. Night Only 8 pm to 5am, and Sunday 15 March to Thursday 19 March. Night only 8pm to 5am.

Long-term traffic management
• State Highway 2 Maunganui Rd NB signalized pedestrian crossing is installed and active for the public to cross the NB traffic to get to the underpass and access Bayfair.
• State Highway 2 between Te Maunga intersection and Concord Avenue - narrowed lanes and a 50km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.
• SH2 Maunganui Rd SB two lanes approaching the Bayfair roundabout have been split to create a work zone in the middle so motorists coming to Bayfair from the city need to use the left lane to access the Bayfair entries on SH2 Maunganui Rd.
• Bayfair roundabout – a 30km/h temporary speed restriction is in place for the duration of the project.
• Matapihi Road, adjacent to the golf driving range – narrowed lanes and a 30km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.
• Girven Road, near the Bayfair roundabout - narrowed lanes are in place for the duration of the project and the right-turn from the Bayfair Shopping Centre car park onto Girven Road is permanently closed.
• SH29A near Baypark – narrowed lanes and a 50km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.
• SH2 Papamoa-bound slip lane at the Te Maunga intersection is permanently closed.
• SH2 Northbound slip lane turning to SH29A from the roundabout is permanently closed.
