Fall Orientation

Registration for Fall Orientation is now open! Fall Orientation provides incoming first-year students with a week of fun activities, a chance to meet fellow students and an opportunity to gain the skills necessary to transition to university life at Carleton.

Fall U-Pass

The U-Pass is a discount transit pass for eligible Carleton students, offering unlimited travel on OC Transpo and STO buses and trains for those enrolled in 1.5 credits or more in the fall and winter terms.

Campus Card and U-Pass are a combined card. The fall U-Pass will be activated automatically the first time students tap their card on transit in the fall pass period, beginning Tues. Sept. 1, 2026.

CUSA Health and Dental Plan Auto-Enrolment Changes for Fall 2026

Beginning in the fall 2026 term, all undergraduate students taking 1.5 credits or more will be automatically enrolled in the CUSA Health and Dental Plan. The change lowers the eligibility threshold from 2.0 credits to 1.5 credits, aligning it with other student fees. This ensures students who adjust their fall course load while maintaining registration in 1.5 credits will continue to have uninterrupted insurance coverage and will not be removed from the plan.

The Career Services Job Board

The Career Services Job Board is exclusive to the Carleton community and offers an array of job opportunities including full-time, part-time, new grad, co-op and more. The Job Board is a valuable tool that students can use to gain work experience and begin their career journeys. Career Services outlines what you and your student need to know about the Job Board.

Is Your Student Eligible for the Co-op Program?

Is your student interested in gaining paid professional work experience? If they are in a program offering co-op and heading into second or third year, they can apply via mySuccess (log in through Carleton360) by Mon. Aug. 31, 2026 to see if they qualify.

Student Account Payment

Always use one of Carleton’s approved payment methods to pay your student’s account to protect from fraud.

Beware of tuition scams where unauthorized third parties offer to pay tuition fees in exchange for a discount. Do not share personal or payment details with any unauthorized third parties.

The fall term payment deadline is Tues. Aug. 25, 2026.

Educational Costs

Estimating the cost of a year of study varies from student to student and depends on the program and number of credits your student is registered in. Tuition and compulsory ancillary/miscellaneous fees include classes, U-Pass, academic, administrative and career support, lab and project resources, library access, athletic facilities and supplemental health plan. The Educational Costs webpage has estimated fees for each program of study at Carleton University.

Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

If your student has applied for Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) funding and has questions about disbursement, course load or academic progress requirements, visit the Current Students website to learn more about your student’s OSAP funding.

Have a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) and Need to Prove Your Student Attends Carleton?

Students who require Verification of Student Status to obtain their RESP funding can make their request electronically in Carleton Central (log in through Carleton360). Completed requests are emailed directly to your student’s Carleton email account within two business days of request.
