The new Provider Portal is on track to go live in October.
To help providers prepare, new resources continue to be added to the Provider Toolkit, including webinar recordings, factsheets, Easy Read resources and guidance materials.
The new Provider Portal will bring together provider registration, reportable incidents and positive behaviour support functions into a single platform. It introduces features designed to simplify interactions with the NDIS Commission, including pre-filled information, smart forms that adapt to your responses, draft-saving functionality and improved dashboards.
The current portal will remain in operation temporarily after the new one goes live. This arrangement allows providers to complete existing work in the current portal while starting new work in the new one, reducing disruption during the transition period.
Practical guidance, checklists and navigation resources are being developed to help providers understand which portal to use and when.
A new ‘What you need to do before October’ checklist will be available from early September to help providers prepare for the transition. It outlines the key actions to complete before the new portal goes live. This includes checking for draft items, understanding which portal to use, setting up user access, reviewing worker screening arrangements and preparing your team to work in the new portal.
The Provider Toolkit will continue to expand in the lead-up to the new portal going live, with additional walkthrough videos, how-to guides, FAQs and process maps being released over the coming weeks.
