March is a super busy month for us as we bring our community almost 60 FREE events during the ChangeMakers.

The ChangeMakers program is packed with practical, local action. If you’ve been meaning to take the next step, here are some standout events to book now.


For practical, hands-on skills

  • Eat more veg cooking workshop – A hands-on workshop where you create and share a ‘vegelicious’ meal.
  • Composting made simple: Improve your soil – Healthy soil is at the heart of permaculture gardening.

For home energy and electrification

  • Electrify your Home – Transition towards a cheaper and cleaner home.
  • Sustainable home and garden tours – Where innovation meets comfort and cost savings.
  • Sustainability for Seniors – Understand your energy bill, DIY energy efficiency and more.

Hear from speakers from the longest-running equine-focused Landcare group in Victoria, Yarra Valley Equestrian Landcare Group.

Events with Biolinks Alliance

Deep Creek Biolink Property Tour
Take a walk around a landmark conservation property abutting the Deep Creek headwaters to learn all about different approaches to landscape and habitat restoration.

Family Nature Day at Deep Creek
Learn how the creek feeds the local ecosystem and provides essential habitat and water for native species.
Sunday 12 April from 1-4pm, Lancefield.

Council grants - Environment and Climate Action

Our Environment Group Support and Community Climate Action Grants open 6 April and close 3 May. Now’s the time to refine your project ideas, confirm partnerships and gather quotes so you’re ready to apply. Start preparing now.
