NewsLocal elections May local elections brought significant change across London, with Labour losing 40% of its councillors. Our home boroughs of Camden and Islington remain Labour-led, but with much-reduced majorities and a resurgent Green opposition now holding 20% and 37% of seats, respectively (Camden New Journal, Islington Tribune). King's Cross in the press The Financial Times recently described King's Cross as "a salutary example of what British innovation and enterprise can achieve with far-sighted policy and both public and private investment. It was difficult then [in the 1980s] to imagine what it could become and equally hard now to imagine London without it" (14 May 2026). Opportunities Design Futures 2026: Call for Businesses to Connect with Emerging Creative Talent LIFT's Design Futures programme is back, offering design and creative businesses a flexible way to engage with pre-trained graphic design talent while supporting a more diverse and inclusive sector.
