Tankerville Road at the Halswell Road intersection - daily closure for three days

From Wednesday 29 May, we will be working on Tankerville Road at the Halswell Road intersection for three days. The work requires a daily closure between 9am and 2pm as shown on the map below.

There will be no access on to Tankerville Road from Halswell Road and vice versa during this time - please use the signposted detour routes via Hoon Hay Road and Rowley Ave/Redgrave Street.

Outside of our working hours, two way traffic will be reinstated.

This is the first phase of construction on Tankerville Road. We will need to continue with more work here at a later date and will update you, closer to the time, with what this will mean regarding traffic management in the area.

What are we doing?

Our works will include removing the existing traffic islands, and locating underground services.

Traffic impacts

The road closure will be in place from Wednesday 29 May until Friday 31 May, between 9am and 2pm daily.  During this time there will no access on to Tankerville Road from Halswell Road and vice versa - please use the signposted detour routes via Hoon Hay Road and Rowley Ave/Redgrave Street.

Outside of our working hours, two way traffic will be reinstated.

Our friendly staff on site can help with any queries. Footpath access around our work site will be maintained.

A temporary 30km/h speed limit will be in place where we are working so we can keep our workers and everyone safe.

Access has been planned for and will be provided for emergency services during this time.

Driveway access

Access to properties and businesses will be maintained. However, we may need to work in front of driveways from time to time. We will try to give you plenty notice of this. However, if you need to get into or out of your property or business and we are in the way, please just talk to one of our friendly staff and we will make sure you can use your driveway.
