The CNC project temporarily shutting down

In line with the Government’s direction in response to COVID-19 and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency and the contractors and suppliers working on their behalf, we are stopping work on the CNC site effective from 23:59 hours on Wednesday 25 March 2020.

Our priority at this time is to ensure that while we close down the CNC site, it remains a safe places for you to travel through or live near. We will keep traffic management in place, as well as appropriate environmental controls.

Throughout the closure you can be assured that we will continue to monitor the site and that safety remains our top priority.

You may have questions about what this closure will mean for project completion dates; we are not sure yet but we will keep you updated in future updates and on our website.

If you have any questions about the project or want to report something on our site we will still be contactable by phone or email but our office will no longer be open.

Updates on Cranford/Innes and Philpotts Road

Tonight we hope to paint the permanent line markings at the newly sealed Cranford/Innes intersection and lay concrete for the Cranford Street median. We will do this work ahead of schedule tonight, as long as the weather holds off, to leave it safe over our shut down. We will also be removing as many cones as we can safely.

Philpotts Road re-opened to left-out traffic from Philpotts to QEII drive today.
