From humble beginnings in 2011, Plastic Free July® has become an annual month of global change, where individuals, communities and organisations come together to take action to reduce plastic waste.

Drop by the plaza and pick up some local honey, fresh herbs in support of Lane Cove Sustainability Action Group.

The stall will also have some handy hints on how to recycle some difficult items.

Sustainability Levy Projects for 2024/2025

In fantastic news, Lane Cove Council has approved 45 projects across the themes of environment, community and livability. Each year, projects are funded by the sustainability levy.

These projects will achieve actions outlined in the Sustainability Action Plan.

Apply now: become a Stallholder at Sustainability Lane

We are excited to announce that Sustainability Lane and the Rotary Fair will be held on Sunday 13 October.

Council is calling for stallholders from local community organisations and businesses who specialise in sustainable goods and services.

There are many ways that you can be involved, including intergenerational workshops, co-creating art with Traditional Custodians and sharing stories with community.

If you are between 12-24 years old or 55+, sign up today. If you’re outside those ages, there are also opportunities for the broader community to get involved!
