Cooper's Corner Brunch

Membership life invites you to brunch at Cooper’s Corner restaurant, 27W150 Roosevelt Rd, Winfield, at 10:45am on Sunday, March 26th. Sign up in the narthex so the restaurant can plan for us or come last minute. Join us for some delicious breakfast delights!

Transgender Day of Visibility Interfaith Service

St. Matthew will be participating in the Transgender Day of Visibility, an Interfaith Service on Wednesday, March 29th at 7pm.

There will be an interfaith choir, led by our own Brian Dobbelaere, and you are welcome to participate. The choir will gather at 6:15 that night. Click here for details and to download the music. 

Easter Egg Hunt, April 1st

Invite your friends and family to our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 1st at 10am. Bring your own baskets, and enjoy a visit with the Easter Bunny!

Easter Flowers

The Worship committee will purchase a variety of Easter flowers for the sanctuary. You may take one home with you after church on Easter for a small donation ($10 suggested), payable by cash or check. 

We are not taking preorders this year. Thank you!

VBS - June 5th-9th - Registration Open

We are excited to announce that St. Matthew is planning a fun-filled week of activities, June 5th-9th from 9am-12noon. A family ice cream social will be held Friday, June 9th at 6:30pm. 

For children ages 3-4 (must have completed at least one year of preschool) and grades K-5th grade (completed grades K-5th)

Cost is $35 per child. Scholarships available. Contact the office for more information.

DuPage PADS 21st Annual ROCK & BOWL

On Saturday, April 15th, DuPage PADS will host their annual Rock & Bowl fundraiser at Fox Bowl in Wheaton from 12-3pm. For many years, St Matthew members have supported this event to help end homelessness in DuPage County.

We hope to enter one or more teams this year. A team consists of 5 bowlers, and each team generates at least $500 in fundraising (at least $100 per team member). If you are interested in participating, please contact Jeannine Adams.

Easter Eggs!

The empty colored eggs are here and ready to be filled! Please pick up some bags of empty eggs, fill them with wrapped candy or coins, and return them to the bins in the narthex by Sunday, March 26th.

Lenten Bible Study

Join Pastor Erin on Tuesday evenings at 7pm during March for Bible Study, focusing on “The Lord’s Prayer: Sacred Subversity.”

Maundy Thursday Potluck Dinner and Worship

Join us on Thursday, April 6th at 6pm for a potluck dinner followed by 7pm Maundy Thursday worship. 

RSVP for the dinner. Indicate number of people attending, and let us know if you will be bringing soup/stew (in a crock pot) or a dessert.

Celebration of Life for Sue Lellbach

The Celebration of Life service for Sue Lellbach will be on Saturday, April 8th. Vistation from 9:30-10:30am, followed immediately by the service. 

If you would like to help the family with refreshments during the visitation, please contact the office. Volunteers would be helpful in setting up and cleaning up that morning. 

Crop Walk, May 7th

Please join us for the annual Crop Walk to help end world hunger. This is a great family activity and we are hoping for a big turn out this year! The Crop Walk this year will be held on Sunday, May 7th, at Gary Memorial Methodist Church in Wheaton. Check-in begins at 1pm and the walk begins at 2pm. It is a 3-mile walk. Nursery Volunteer Help Needed

We are in need of a second adult to help in the nursery on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:30. You can sign up to help once a month or just to help occasionally when it works in your schedule. Please contact Dawn Schubert with an questions. A church-run background check is required for all nursery volunteers.
