Creating Long-Term Homes for Charter Schools

January 2024

Dear friends and colleagues,

The devastation caused by the Southern California wildfires has deeply impacted our PCSD family and the broader charter school community. Some of our colleagues, partners, and their families have faced significant losses, from homes destroyed to schools severely damaged. The fires have also disrupted entire communities, leaving schools struggling to support students and families amidst evacuations and power outages.

In these challenging times, we stand united with the California Charter Schools Association (CCSA) to amplify their call for support. The Southern California Wildfire Relief Fund is a direct way to help charter schools provide immediate relief and rebuild in the aftermath of this unprecedented crisis.

In the coming days, PCSD will work closely with our partners to assess how we can best support the reopening of impacted schools. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a tangible difference in helping charter schools remain a beacon of stability and hope for their communities.

Thank you for standing with us and showing the strength of our collective commitment.

In solidarity,
The PCSD Team
