OUR PEOPLE
Our Summer Interns
NorCal ED Visits Colorado

Dear Friends and Partners,

As July comes to a close, we're celebrating milestones that reflect the power of partnership and the momentum we're building across the communities we serve.

This month, we marked the ribbon cutting of Golden Charter Academy's new permanent campus in Fresno, broke ground on the next phase of growth at Aristoi Classical Academy in Texas, and celebrated completed projects in Colorado that are expanding educational opportunities for students. From Academy of Arts and Knowledge's campus expansion, made possible in partnership with Equitable Facilities Fund, to new learning spaces at Wildflower Montessori Public Schools of Colorado, each project represents our shared commitment to creating high-quality environments where students can thrive.

We're also proud to highlight the people behind this work. As our summer internship program wraps up today, we're celebrating a remarkable group of students who spent the past two weeks exploring careers in school facilities, real estate development, architecture, engineering, finance, law, and construction. Their curiosity, enthusiasm, and thoughtful questions reminded us why investing in the next generation matters. This issue also features a look at Northern California Executive Director Jennifer Afdahl Rice's recent visit to Colorado to meet with Colorado Executive Director Joy Griffin, learning across regions to strengthen relationships and share knowledge as we continue to grow our impact.

Thank you for being part of the Blueprint community. We hope you enjoy this month's stories and appreciate your continued partnership as we work together to create more opportunities for students across California, Colorado, Texas, and Washington.

Warmly,

John Sun

Ribbon Cutting: Golden Charter Academy

Golden Charter Academy recently celebrated the ribbon cutting for its new permanent campus in Fresno. The state-of-the-art facility will serve approximately 448 students in grades TK–8 and support the school’s distinctive environmental stewardship and zoo-based learning model.

Blueprint was proud to partner with Golden Charter Academy throughout the project, helping coordinate the planning, financing, and construction needed to bring the school’s vision to life. The campus reflects years of tenacity, collaboration, and shared commitment among Golden Charter Academy and its partners, including BMY Construction Group, Dyson Janzen Architects, Self-Help, ExED, BlueHub Capital, and U.S. Bank.

Congratulations to Robert Golden, the Golden Charter Academy team, and the many partners who helped create an inspiring new home for Fresno students.

OUR PROJECTS

Groundbreaking: Aristoi Classical Academy

Our Texas team joined Aristoi Classical Academy to celebrate the groundbreaking of its newest campus in Houston—a replication of the school's successful Katy campus that will expand access to a classical education for more students and families.

Blueprint is proud to serve as the project manager, guiding the project from planning and design through construction and occupancy. Working alongside the school and project partners, we're helping ensure the new campus stays aligned with Aristoi's vision, budget, schedule, and long-term goals.

Congratulations to the entire Aristoi team on this exciting milestone. We look forward to watching this campus take shape and welcoming students through its doors.

HIGHLIGHTS

Expanding Opportunities at Academy of Arts and Knowledge (AAK)

Blueprint partnered with Academy of Arts and Knowledge (AAK) in Fort Collins to support the school's continued growth through a multi-phase campus expansion that created approximately 200 new student seats.

The first phase included the renovation of 25,000 square feet on the second floor, adding new classrooms, a library, and student services spaces, along with an upgraded commercial kitchen to better support the school's meal program. The second phase expanded the existing multipurpose room with a dedicated performance area, creating a flexible space for student performances, assemblies, and school events.

Working alongside Equitable Facilities Fund (EFF), Blueprint helped make the project possible by combining innovative financing with facility development expertise to deliver a campus designed to serve AAK's growing student community for years to come.

Growing with Wildflower Montessori Public Schools of Colorado

Blueprint is proud to support the continued growth of Wildflower Montessori Public Schools of Colorado through two projects that will expand access to high-quality public Montessori education.

In Aurora, the Meadow Rue campus recently expanded its existing classroom space by nearly 3,000 square feet, creating new learning environments for fourth through sixth grade students and adding 30 new seats. On Colorado's Western Slope, the Lavender Bee campus in Grand Junction transformed a former residential daycare into an early childhood education charter school, creating 20 additional seats for the community's youngest learners.

These projects demonstrate how thoughtful renovations and strategic facility investments can help growing schools meet student demand while staying rooted in their communities.

OUR INTERNS

OUR PEOPLE

Our Summer Interns

As July comes to a close, we'd like to recognize the incredible students who participated in Blueprint's 2026 Summer Internship Program.

Over the past two weeks, our interns explored careers in real estate development, construction, architecture, engineering, finance, law, and nonprofit leadership through site visits, hands-on learning, and mentorship from Blueprint staff and industry partners. Their curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn made this year's program a tremendous success.

We're grateful to our partners who helped create these meaningful experiences and look forward to seeing where these talented young leaders go next.

Building Futures Beyond School Facilities

During a recent family trip to Colorado, Northern California Executive Director Jennifer Afdahl Rice had the opportunity to connect with Colorado Executive Director Joy Griffin and tour the future home of Colorado International Language Academy (CILA) in Colorado Springs.

Construction is progressing on schedule, and the campus is on track to welcome students for the new school year. Blueprint has been proud to support CILA's transition from a leased facility to its first permanent home, creating a purpose-built K–8 campus that reflects the school's multilingual mission.

The visit was a great reminder that, across every region we serve, we're united by a shared commitment to expanding access to exceptional learning environments.
