GET READY: THOUSANDS OF VISITORS ARE HEADING TO BURNLEY THIS SEPTEMBER FOR THE VINTAGE AND PERFORMANCE CAR SHOW 🚘

Burnley's Vintage & Performance Car Show returns on Saturday 12th September, bringing dozens of vintage, classic and high-performance cars and motorcycles to the town for a day of motoring, entertainment and free family activities.

Taking place from 11am to 4pm, St James's Street and Curzon Street will be transformed into a display of vehicles from across the decades, giving visitors the chance to get up close to everything from beautifully restored classics to powerful performance cars and motorcycles.

There will be plenty to enjoy away from the vehicles too, with free entertainment taking place throughout the day. Families can meet the Cheshire Transformers, including Optimus Prime, alongside walkabout favourites Bumblebee and White Knight. Free face painting will be available at the main event hub on St James's Street, while visitors can also enjoy a round of crazy golf on Curzon Street.

Hosted by Radio Burnley's Lee and Phil, the event will offer a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day, while giving visitors the perfect opportunity to explore Burnley's shops, cafés and restaurants.

Organised by Burnley BID in partnership with The Rotary Club, the annual event continues to attract vehicle enthusiasts and families from across Lancashire.

With car enthusiasts, families and day-trippers travelling from across the region, it's a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to make the most of the increased footfall. Whether you're planning special offers, extending opening hours, showcasing new products or simply giving visitors a warm Burnley welcome, now is the perfect time to prepare.

Vehicle registration remains open, with owners of vintage, classic and performance vehicles, including motorcycles, invited to take part in this year's event. Anyone interested in exhibiting is encouraged to register as soon as possible ahead of the show at https://discoverburnley.co.uk/carshow/

BURNLEY IS BLOOMING WITH OVER 20,000 PLANTS ACROSS THE TOWN 🌸

More than 20,000 plants have been planted across Burnley as part of a greening project led by Burnley Council’s Green Spaces team and Burnley BID, forming part of this year’s Britain in Bloom entry.

Alongside beehive planters and hanging baskets, permanent planters across the town have been filled with perennials designed to provide beautiful displays that return year after year while being kinder to the environment and more cost effective.

This year’s planting marks the start of a longer-term greening project, which will eventually extend from Curzon Street to the top of St James’s Street, helping to make Burnley an even greener, brighter and more welcoming town.
