International Women's Day

Carleton University is celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD) on Sun. March 8, 2026, honouring the amazing contributions and accomplishments of the women in our community.

IWD is an excellent time to reflect on and strive to end gender-based discrimination, both in Ottawa and beyond.

Board of Governors Award Deadline: Fri. March 6

Know a student who excels in volunteerism? Nominate them for the Board of Governors Award for Outstanding Community Achievement by this Fri. March 6, and they could win a $2,000 reward!

Apply for the International Internship Program

Thinking about opportunities abroad? Don’t miss out on your chance to participate in the International Internship Program! These internships offer the chance to gain real-world work experience, develop international contacts and build your resume, all while earning academic credit. Applications for summer 2026 (in-person and virtual) internships are open until Fri. March 6, 2026.

Residence Applications Now Open

Planning to stay in Ottawa this summer or looking for housing for the upcoming academic year? Residence at Carleton offers convenience, community and scenic campus views. Applications to live in residence for the summer 2026 term and 2026-2027 academic year are now open.

Nursing (BScN) and international students are guaranteed 12-month residence. Submit your application now!

The National Survey of Student Engagement is Now Live

First and final‑year students: you are invited to complete the National Survey of Student Engagement  (NSSE). Your survey link has been sent directly to your Carleton email. NSSE is your opportunity to share honest feedback about your academic and campus experience. The insights you provide help shape the programs, services and supports you rely on every day. Students who complete the survey will be entered for a chance to win one of four Campus Card gift cards worth $250.

Graduation/Spring Convocation

If you will have completed your program requirements in winter 2026, you must apply to graduate in Carleton Central (log into Carleton360) by Wed. April 1, 2026.

GenAI and Student Learning: Understanding Tools, Risks and Responsible Use

Explore how generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) can enhance, not replace, your learning with an in-person session with the Centre for Student Academic Support (CSAS) on Wed. March 11, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Discover how to use GenAI responsibly, reduce cognitive load and strike the right balance between offloading tasks and building essential academic skills. Congratulations to the top five finalists of the P9 Greenspace Design Competition! These student teams have reimagined the P9 space with inspiring, community-driven designs.
