Pioneer PulpitAugust 9 – "Are Righteousness and Health By Faith?" – Tim Howe ————— Prayer Promise"As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God?" The Sabbath Delight Challenge Ben Martin When I think back on my childhood, there are a lot of wonderful memories. Some of the best, however, were from Sabbath afternoons. Sabbaths were filled with family, nature, and friends. I was reminded of this during our summer camping trip to the Upper Peninsula. Sabbaths were the highlight of our trip as we would plan out a special location, meals, and a worship plan. It truly was a delight. Unlocking Health: Join us this Sabbath, August 9, 2025, for a special guest speaker, Dr. Tim Howe. He will be speaking during our 9:00 AM and 11:45 AM services. Dr. Howe has practiced internal and preventive medicine in Brunswick, Maine, for the past 36 years. His primary focus is on the prevention, treatment, and reversal of chronic diseases through dietary and lifestyle changes. In the afternoon, a lecture will discuss the scientific reasons behind Ellen G. White's statement that "sugar clogs the system." It will take place at 4:00 PM in the Pioneer Youth Chapel. We hope to see you there! Help Us Welcome New Students Many new faces will soon join us as they begin their academic journey at Andrews University. We are excited to welcome them with our traditional Welcome Picnic on Sabbath, August 23. You can support the BELONG program by signing up to be a table host, preparing food, becoming a general volunteer, or even doing all of the above! We still need volunteers—specifically, 115 total! This includes 55 table hosts and 20 individuals to guide students to their tables. To sign up, text the word "PICNIC" to 269.281.2345.
