Are you praying for our church - for hope in God's power to heal and renew us? Check out the Pastoral Care Resources on the theme of 'hope'. Include them in your worship materials, gatherings and mail-outs. Resources are also integrated into July's Worship Planning Page. FRAMEWORK BEING FURTHER REFINED At its June meeting, the LCANZ's General Church Board (GCB) and College of Bishops (CoB) resolved to remove the Conference component from the Way Forward proposed framework. The decision was made after hearing the concerns of church members about the Conference. The Way Forward team continues to refine the framework, for presentation to the July meeting of GCB/CoB, when it is anticipated that it will be finalised and approved for publication in the General Synod Book of Reports. FACE-TO-FACE GATHERINGS A CHANCE TO ENGAGE The Way Forward project is now in its final phase – Preparation and Prayer – which will run until General Synod in early October. Members are invited to prepare for General Synod by coming together in a setting of prayer and worship. You will be able to ask questions about the Way Forward Framework and discuss it with others. Contact your District Office for more information and to register for an event. Synod delegate updates The LCANZ's Synod Planning Team thanks those congregations who have submitted details of their delegate for this synodical period, however, there are still a number outstanding. Please contact synod@lca.org.au to confirm your delegate or if you are unsure whether details have been supplied. All those who will attend General Synod – including delegates, visitors, volunteers and others – will be invited to confirm their attendance in the next few weeks. Stay 'tuned' for more details. It's not too late to nominate! If you have been considering nominating to serve on an LCANZ board, council, commission or committee, it's not too late. Current members of governing bodies who wish to be considered for reappointment also need to nominate. The nomination form, frequently asked questions and the relevant terms of reference for governing bodies are available through the governing and advisory bodies list on the LCA website nominations page at www.lca.org.au/nominations.
