Pioneer PulpitNovember 1 – "A Good Memory" – Shane Anderson ————— Prayer Promise"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me." The Trees' Sermon Prescott Khair There’s something beautiful about October here in Berrien Springs. Before the winter grey sets in, the colors of campus glow and the familiar crispness of fall returns. Life at the University has found its mid-semester rhythm. The rush of new beginnings has quieted, yet the year ahead still stretches wide with unknowns. For our Pioneer Memorial Church community, our students, faculty, staff, and neighbors alike, October is a season of transition. Classes intensify, daylight shortens, and the pace of life increases “in between” seasons and holidays. It often feels relentless. But even in those moments God invites us to notice the sacredness of change. Communion Service On Sabbath, November 1, please plan to attend the celebration of the Communion service together during both the 9:00 and 11:45 AM services. The locations for footwashing have changed because of ongoing renovations. Women will meet in the Youth Chapel and men will meet in the Earliteen Loft. Family footwashing will be in its normal location—the Commons. Adopt-a-Student Looking for a simple way to bless a student this semester? Consider adopting one!
