To support businesses as we move towards the implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility for packaging (EPR), the four UK governments have published the following short survey. This survey aims to capture the level of awareness around EPR data reporting obligations and stakeholder communication requirements and is relevant to both EPR obligated producers and the compliance schemes who support them. Please cascade this survey to any peers who may be obligated to submit under EPR, or any business who you represent. Amended data Statutory Instrument Amendments were laid in Parliament to EPR data reporting obligations in January 2024. These amendments, which we expect to come into force on the 1 April, will apply to 2024 data submissions onwards - but do not apply to 2023 data. Ongoing data reporting requirements The amended EPR data reporting requirements will apply from the 1 January 2024 where you have all the new data necessary or the 1 April 2024 where you do not. Where data is only reported from 1 April 2024, it will be scaled up to account for a full 12-month period. Please complete the EPR survey by Friday 15 March 2024.
