COVID-19 Update for Residents and Families of Calvary GYMPIE VIEWS

Further to our last communication, I am writing to inform you that no further cases have been detected amongst our residents at Calvary Gympie Views.

The number of positive resident cases at Calvary Gympie Views remains at fourteen (14). Five (5) of these cases are no longer active. Staff are in contact with the COVID positive residents’ families and keeping them informed.

For the safety of residents and to help stop the spread of infections, the current restrictions remain in place and the residents are isolating and receiving all care in their rooms.

Our next round of testing with Brennan and Lister Gardens residents will be on 6 February 2022. This will be followed by testing of all residents across the home on 10 February 2022.  We will be in contact when these results become available. We anticipate our next communication to you will be early next week.

We are continuing to liaise closely with the Public Health Unit as to when the current restrictions can be eased.

As always, visitation exceptions can be made for residents receiving end of life care and for compassionate visits. Please contact the home manager to make arrangements.

Please contact the home to book a video call with your loved one, or if you have any concerns. Care packages for your loved ones may also be left with security. Please label them clearly.
