ISO second-year students in all programs to help with SJU Open House

Do you like meeting new people? Are you willing to rep PCP and SJU for prospective students and their families? If so, we need you! We are looking for 3-4 students who have completed their first year on the Hawk Hill campus in the pharmacy, pharm/tox, and pharm sci and drug development programs to participate in a panel discussion during the SJU Open House events on the morning of Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, October 20. No preparation is required, just wear your SJU PCP shirt and come ready to answer questions about student life at SJU! If interested, please contact Dr. Waite at lwaite@sju.edu. 9/5

It's the time of year where we showcase the IPEX 3rd floor and the pharmacy program to prospective students and their families! We are looking for 3-4 students interested in repping PCP and the profession during the SJU Open House events on the afternoon of Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, October 20 at the UC campus. No preparation required, just wear your SJU PCP shirt and come ready to answer questions about student life as a PCP pharmacy student! Community Open House at the Marvin Samson Museum for the History of Pharmacy

Delve into the unfolding history and embodied present of pharmacy care in Philadelphia! Spend First Friday at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy's museum gallery, exploring local pharmacy history through our collection of artifacts from Colonial times to present day. Free snacks, zines, Narcan, barriers, and Covid tests will be available. Harm reduction training and supply facilitated by Savage Sisters Recovery (savagesisters.org).

Friday, September 6, 2024, 5 – 7pm. Find us inside Griffith Hall, at 601 South 43rd Street in University City. All are welcome! 9/2

 

Are you a singer? Then share your talent at the PCP White Coat Ceremony!

If you are looking for a way to get involved, being a class representative for the PCP Student Council is a good way to start! If you have been a class representative before, you must reapply for this year as well. As a class representative, you have the opportunity to advocate for your class and make a meaningful impact. Full responsibilities for class representatives are detailed in the application. 8/29

Scholarship Opportunity for P1s and P2s!

The National Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship Program provides financial scholarships for students with outstanding academic records and leadership, who are committed to serving Hispanics, and are enrolled full-time for the 2024-2025 academic year in health professions programs including pharmacy. This year, the program will feature awards of $5,000 annually for up to four years as well as individual scholarship awards of $2,000 each. Applications are due Friday 9/13/24 at 11:59 PM!
