State Highway 2 chipseal starting soon

Dear Neighbour,

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency’s State Highway 2 (SH2) chipsealing programme will begin on Sunday 19 November, and take roughly two weeks (until Thursday 30 November).

The normal weekly email notifications will provide details and any updates.

Our team will be working during the night between 9pm and 5am at various locations on SH2 and stop/ go will be in place assist traffic.

During the day all lanes will be open but there will be speed restrictions to allow the chipseal to set, and to protect vehicles travelling over newly laid chipseal.

There will be increased noise levels while our team carry out chipsealing. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
