Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency and Nelson City Council are seeking to develop a plan for a transport system that supports the community’s aspirations for how Nelson will function in the short, medium, and long term. We are looking to create a resilient transport system that considers the needs of all users – whether they’re behind the wheel of a car or truck, on foot, going by bike, or using public transport.
Our last project update was issued just as we began our engagement with the community at the end of June. We’d like to say a big thank you to all those who got involved; shared your views and gave us your feedback. It was wonderful to have over 1,800 people provide us with feedback. You can now read a summary of that engagement process and the feedback received on our website. You will also find a paragraph about ‘next steps’ at the end of that document.
