IMPORTANT: COVID-19 UPDATE - OUTBREAK OVER at Calvary Millward

Date: 22 February  2022

To: All Staff – Calvary Millward

From:  Sharon Martindale, General Manager Aged Care

I am very pleased to inform all staff that no additional residents have tested positive for COVID-19 at Calvary Millward in the latest round of testing.

In line with Public Health Unit advice, the outbreak at Calvary Millward can now be declared over. Our last residents have now been de-isolated and visitation will recommence from tomorrow 23 February 2022, consistent with Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care.

Information for staff and visitors

  • Calvary Millward is open to visitors from tomorrow 23 February 2022.
  • Visiting hours are between 11.00am and 6.00pm, with last entry permitted at 4.30pm. This is to ensure all screening processes can be completed by our day staff.
  • There is no limit to the number of visitors allowed per resident, per day.
  • Visitors will be required to complete screening requirements prior to entry and wear appropriate PPE (including face mask and shield) whilst visiting. PPE is provided by Calvary.
  •  As a precaution to keeping residents safe, visitors may be required to have a rapid antigen test (RAT test) before entering the home. This takes time, and we ask for your patience as we manage this important screening process.
  • If you have any questions please speak with the home manager.

As always, visitation exceptions will be made for residents receiving end of life care and for compassionate visits.

Thank you for ensuring our residents have continued to receive the safest possible care over this time. Your hard work is appreciated.
