New Announcements 

RxPharmacist internship program for P4's! We once again are excited to sponsor our 2022 Pharmacy Graduate Internship program to your 4th year graduating pharmacy students! We have always provided our internship program to offer students the opportunity to work remotely on their own schedule and hours since 2017. As the coronavirus may have unfortunately affected students short-term career plans such as residencies or fellowships, we hope to offer our internship program to support them as much as possible during this time of uncertainty. You may view testimonials from some of our previous interns HERE. New White Coats are Coming! We are currently in the process of ordering SJU PCP branded white coats. The priority is for P1's white coat ceremony. Orders are being put in for P2's, P3's and DPS students as well. Faculty are next on the list. P4's are not required to wear a SJU PCP branded lab coat. Posted by Dean Foote. 8/25

Get Involved With PCP Student Council! Attention all Philadelphia College of Pharmacy students!! PCP student council applications are now open. This is a great opportunity to serve as a representative for your classmates and get involved within your college. All PCP majors can apply and are absolutely needed! 2022 White Coat Ceremony! The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy White Coat Ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 24th at 10 AM in the ARC Bobby Morgan Arena. All are welcome! 8/22

Professional Service Opportunity for U1 to P4 Students! The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy has been asked to identify a few student pharmacists to serve on one of the following panels:

1. LGBTQ+ Experiences in Professional School • Mon, Nov. 7 (6-7 pm ET, 5-6 pm CT, 4-5 pm MT, 3-4 pm PT)
2. Experiences of Students with Disabilities in Professional School • Wed, Nov. 9 (6-7 pm ET, 5-6 pm CT, 4-5 pm MT, 3-4 pm PT) •
3. Students with physical, auditory, sensory, cognitive, neurological, or speech disabilities.

This activity will be great to add to your CV! We can only submit 1-3 PCP students’ names. If you are interested, contact Dr. Thomas (tthomas@sju.edu) by 8/26. If you decide to submit your name, you'll need to share (with me, or directly to an AACP staff member) a few statements describing why you are interested in participating in this session, insights you'd like to share with session attendees, and any other information you think will help you to stand out during the selection process. Calling All Spanish Speaking Students! Looking for students (any major) to help translate at a COVID-19 vaccine clinic that will take place on Sat, August 27 for the Hispanic community in Chester, PA. University City (UC) campus organizational fair! Mark your calendars! The UC student organization fair will be held Friday, August 26th from 12:30 - 2:30 pm in the quad!  If it rains it will be held in the  ARC-MPR! Rising P3's!  PP547 Critical Care Therapeutics: Free ACLS Certification and IPE Opportunities We are currently enrolling students in PP547 Critical Care Therapeutics for Fall 2022. This 2 hour elective course, open to all P3 students, will introduce you to management of critically ill patients. As special opportunities, students enrolled in PP547 will complete free American Heart Association ACLS certification (~$300 value, funded by a PCP faculty grant) and two interprofessional critical care emergency simulations. The certification and simulations are interprofessional and hosted with medical and nursing students from the University of Pennsylvania. This course will be especially useful for students interested in further differentiating themselves for their pursuit of residency training with an advanced certification. Space is limited, so please register as soon as possible. Look forward to saving lives with you! Check out the Lilly Visiting Scientists Fellowship Program (VSF)! - Lilly’s VSF program exposes recent Pharm.D., M.D., and relevant Ph.D. or master’s degree graduates to a myriad of pharmaceutical functions. The VSF is a unique, one-year post-graduate program. Fellows will be assigned to one department, yet work closely with other cross-functional areas in areas such as medical, marketing, regulatory, and many other facets of drug development. New Elective on Herbals, Dietary Supplements, and Natural Products is now available! - Many patients seek herbal products, botanicals, dietary supplements, and natural products to support their health. It's important that pharmacists have the tools to counsel and guide their patients who are exploring these complementary and integrative therapies. Consider enrolling in PP339: Herbals, Dietary Supplements, and Natural Products to build your knowledge of these products!
