What are we proposing?

We’ve used community insights alongside our technical analysis of what is the safe and appropriate speed for this road to propose the following changes to speed limits:

SH22 Drury interchange

  • Reduce the speed to 60km/h for the 70km/h section from the south-western end of the Hingaia Stream Bridge to 100m south of Burberry Road.

SH22 Drury Interchange to Paerata

  • Reduce the speed to 80km/h for the 100km/h section 100m south of of Burberry Road to 430m north of Crown Road.

SH22 Paerata

  • Reduce the speed to 60km/h for the 70km/h section 430m north of Crown Road to the intersection of SH22/Lough Bourne Drive.
