As summer winds down, we’re bidding farewell to our incredible summer interns, who have truly made their mark during their time with us.
We’re excited to share progress on the Navigator Schools currently under construction, which will soon bring new educational opportunities to our communities. Look out for more project updates next month.
In addition, we’re thrilled to welcome our CIWI interns for the fourth year in a row, reaffirming our commitment to nurturing future leaders in education.
We’re also pleased to introduce our newest PCSD and TCSD board member, Dan Fishman. Dan brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for educational equity, and we’re thrilled to have him join us as we continue our mission-driven work.

PCSD Says Goodbye to Our Summer Interns
Our summer internship program exceeded expectations this year. We welcomed six interns who were fortunate to participate in a series of enriching experiences with both our team and our partners. They completed their summer with a final presentation on their experience. SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS
Navigator Schools In Construction
We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with Navigator Schools on two major projects that are under active construction.
- Gilroy Prep is a TK-8 school that will serve 600 students.
- Hayward Collegiate is a TK-6 school that will serve 252 students.
The schools will be ready for school use for the start of the 2024-2025 school year. We can't wait to see these institutions thrive.

Dan Fishman Joins PCSD/TCSD Boards
We're excited to announce that Dan Fishman has joined the Board of Directors of PCSD and TCSD! Dan is the CEO of Choose to Succeed, where he champions quality education for all children in San Antonio, Texas. With a strong background in expanding educational opportunities, including his work at IDEA Public Schools and The Philanthropy Roundtable, Dan’s passion for educational equity aligns perfectly with our mission. We're thrilled to have him on board as we continue to create lasting impacts in under-resourced communities. Welcome, Dan!

PCSD Hosts CIWI Interns
We were thrilled to have hosted ten talented CIWI interns for the fourth consecutive year! These future industry leaders, currently studying various fields within construction, joined us at Education for Change's Achieve Academy and Leadership Public Schools R&D Campus in Oakland. They got a close look at our ongoing projects and learned about the challenges and triumphs of school construction. Excited to see how they'll shape the future of the industry!
