Dear Resident or Family Member, COVID-19 Update for Residents and Families of Calvary Brighton-Le-SandsI am writing to let you know that one (1) additional resident and three (3) staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 at Calvary Brighton-Le-Sands since our last update to you. The total number of positive cases amongst residents is now two (2) and amongst staff, is three (3). Due to the risk of ongoing transmission, in line with Public Health Unit advice and to keep our residents and staff safe, Calvary Brighton-Le-Sands is closed to visitors immediately. Residents in Preston House continue to be in full lockdown however the residents in Lady Robinson are not confined to their rooms and able to move freely about their environment. However, we have suspended communal dining for now, and residents will receive all meals in their rooms. We will continue to liaise closely with Public Health Unit officials, who will make the decision about whether and when it is safe to re-open Calvary Brighton-Le-Sands to visitors. Our testing regime continues with residents over the coming days, and we will update you when the results become available. We anticipate our next communication to you will be in a few days time. Our staff are in contact with the families of the COVID positive residents and are keeping them informed. As always, visitation exceptions can be made for residents receiving end of life care and for compassionate visits. Please contact the home manager to make arrangements. Please contact the home to book a video call with your loved one, or if you have any concerns. Care packages for your loved ones may also be left with security. Please label them clearly. We understand that this is very frustrating for residents and families, and we want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to continue to look after the health and wellbeing of residents while keeping them safe during this difficult time. Thank you for you continued understanding and patience at this time.
