Shared Care Learning Centre supports greater efficiency, connection, and collaboration

The recently launched Shared Care Learning Centre aims to streamline Shared Care Committee project support for physicians and project teams, while helping connect communities to spread successful work. Features of the site include:

  • Tools and templates required throughout the lifecycle of SCC's projects.
  • A searchable database of Shared Care and Specialist Services' projects, including physician contacts to help you connect with colleagues about their work.

CBT skills group training

The Shared Care Committee is working in partnership with UBC CPD and the CBT Skills Groups Society, to offer online CBT skills group training to physicians from 2021-2023.

Click links to learn about the two options for physicians to participate in this accredited online training:

  1. Online Physician Wellness Training with a group of other physicians. 
     
  2. Online CBT Skills Group Facilitator Training as a participant-observer in a patient group. 
 
 

Webinar: BC ECHO for Post-COVID-19 Recovery - Mental Health Focus

Tuesday, December 14 from 12-1 p.m. PT
 Dr Grant Millar (psychiatrist, Providence Health Care) will discuss the impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic on mental health. Please register HERE.

 
 

Shared Care for Pediatric Eating Disorders - Physician Learning Session

Tuesday January 18th, from 6 pm - 8 pm.
Shared Care in collaboration with BC Children’s Hospital invites family physicians interested in education and support around pediatric eating disorders, to attend an online consultation and learning session. Learn more and email Shannon.Vogels@cw.bc.ca to register - deadline December 10th.

 
 

New date for JCC Pre-Forum 2022

Tuesday, May 31, 2022 (rescheduled from March)
The Joint Collaborative Committees (JCC) will present their annual JCC Pre-Forum – “Regroup, Reflect, and Evolve: Strengthening Our Community of Caring” – as part of the BC Patient Safety and Quality Council’s Quality Forum (May 31–June 2, 2022). More details to follow.
