Shared Care Learning Centre supports greater efficiency, connection, and collaboration
The recently launched Shared Care Learning Centre aims to streamline Shared Care Committee project support for physicians and project teams, while helping connect communities to spread successful work. Features of the site include:
- Tools and templates required throughout the lifecycle of SCC's projects.
- A searchable database of Shared Care and Specialist Services' projects, including physician contacts to help you connect with colleagues about their work.

Help and hope for moms: earlier mental health screening and support
For some people, the experience of pregnancy and transition to motherhood is coloured by severe depression and/or anxiety, Improving access to mental health supports in the limited time before and after delivery is the inspiration behind South Island's perinatal mental health project.

After five years of apparent success with the East Kootenay Pediatric Outpatient Eating Disorder Program, family physician, Dr Cecile Andreas, and the eating disorder clinical team wondered if there might be room for improvement.

CBT skills group training
The Shared Care Committee is working in partnership with UBC CPD and the CBT Skills Groups Society, to offer online CBT skills group training to physicians from 2021-2023.

- Online Physician Wellness Training with a group of other physicians.
- Online CBT Skills Group Facilitator Training as a participant-observer in a patient group.

Shared Care for Pediatric Eating Disorders - Physician Learning Session
Tuesday January 18th, from 6 pm - 8 pm.

New date for JCC Pre-Forum 2022
Tuesday, May 31, 2022 (rescheduled from March)
The Joint Collaborative Committees (JCC) will present their annual JCC Pre-Forum – “Regroup, Reflect, and Evolve: Strengthening Our Community of Caring” – as part of the BC Patient Safety and Quality Council’s Quality Forum (May 31–June 2, 2022). More details to follow.
