People travelling between Baypark and Bayfair will continue to see several overnight road and lane closures, and associated detours. Closures and detours will vary night to night, depending on site requirements and progress, and people are asked to allow extra time, follow signposted detours and drive with caution through the project site.
In the coming weeks, daytime lane closures during off-peak hours will be required across the project site for surface inspections.
On Monday 17 June (from approx. 8pm or later to 5am) Maunganui Road southbound will be closed between Concord Avenue and SH2/SH29A Te Maunga interchange. A detour via Concord Avenue, Oceanbeach Road, Omanu Way, Maranui Street, Sandhurst Drive and Sandhurst interchange will be in place.
In the week commencing Sunday 23 June, various road and/or lane closures will be required for final sign installation.
This will include:

a closure of Maunganui Road southbound between Concord Avenue and Bayfair roundabout with a detour via Concord Avenue, Oceanbeach Road and Girven Road

a closure of Maunganui Road northbound between SH2/SH29A Te Maunga interchange and Bayfair roundabout. For those travelling from Tauranga Eastern Link towards Bayfair roundabout, a signposted detour will be available via SH2/Bayfair flyover and the Golf Road roundabout. For those travelling from SH29A towards Bayfair roundabout, a signposted detour will be available via Truman Lane, Mangatawa Link Road, Sandhurst interchange, SH2/Bayfair flyover and the Golf Road roundabout).
