Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident or Family Member,

Important Update for Residents and Families: Positive COVID-19 identified at Calvary Rosanna Views

I am writing to advise you that unfortunately an additional seven (7) residents and one (1) staff member have tested positive to COVID-19 since our last communication to you, which brings the total number of cases to twenty-eight (28) residents and three (3) staff members. The positive residents remain isolated and are receiving care in their rooms.

In line with Public Health Unit advice, Calvary Rosanna Views remains closed for general visitation.

We understand that it is very difficult for residents to be cared for in their rooms and not have visitors. Please be assured that our team will continue to ensure the holistic care needs of all residents are met and calls and video conferencing is available for loved ones to remain in contact.

Visitation exceptions may be made for residents receiving end of life care, or who may be experiencing distress, or where a special care and support role is provided. Please speak with the Manager of your Home to discuss arrangements.

Please be assured that our staff have prepared for COVID-19 exposures and outbreaks such as this. Our staff are trained in strict infection control procedures and are focusing all of their attention on the individual care needs of residents.

We will continue to liaise closely with Public Health Unit officials, who will make the decision about whether and when it is safe to remove the current visitation restrictions. We will keep you updated as information becomes available, and anticipate our next communication to you will be early next week.

You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends

Thank you for your continued understanding and patience at this time.

Sincerely,

Gavin Young,

General Manager Aged Care
