Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident or Family Member,

COVID-19 Update for Residents and Families of Calvary Bonbeach

I am writing to inform you that no additional residents have tested positive to COVID-19 at Calvary Bonbeach since our last communication to you in our latest round of testing that occurred today 13 May 2022. The remaining two (2) active positive residents remain in isolation and are receiving care in their rooms, and we continue to keep their families informed.

In line with Public Health Unit advice, testing in Aqua and Bay Units has now moved to symptomatic testing only. The negative and medically cleared residents can now be de-isolated and are free to move around the facility.

Updated information for visitors

  • Calvary Bonbeach remains open to general visitation.
  • All visitors will be supplied with the appropriate PPE (including face masks and shields as appropriate) to wear whilst visiting. Staff assist you with PPE as required.
  • Visitors will be required to have a rapid antigen test (RAT test) before entering the home. This takes time, and we ask for your patience as we manage this important screening process.

We will continue to liaise closely with Public Health Unit officials, who will make the decision about whether and when it is safe to remove the current restrictions. We anticipate our next communication to you will be early next week.

Thank you for you continued understanding and patience at this time.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Ngari

Acting General Manager Aged Care
