Willowbank Quarry – the rockstar of Transmission Gully

From above it looks like Tonka trucks in a sand pit… but the activities at Willowbank Quarry are far from child’s play.

By the end of this year 400,000 tonnes of aggregate rock will have been extracted from the hillside.

By the end of next year, tens of thousands of vehicles a day will be driving over this aggregate on the Transmission Gully motorway.
