Greetings Second-Year Students!

Congratulations on completing your first-year at Penn! With one year of your undergraduate career under your belt, though nontraditional, we recognize that you are no longer brand new, but still have unique hopes and needs that are unlike any class before you.

Here at the Office of New Student Orientation & Academic Initiatives, we are already planning for your arrival to campus in August. For the first time ever, our team is creating Second-Year Orientation (SYO) which will consist of specialized programming just for the Class of 2024.

As more details in our programming form, we will be in contact with you over the summer.

We look forward to seeing you on campus in August!

Second-Year Move-In

You can select your arrival time starting on Tuesday, July 6

All Class of 2024 on-campus residents must select an arrival time during  the designated move-in days of Friday, August 27 or Saturday, August 28. The arrival times help us make sure that we are prepared for you to move into your College House, such as ensuring adequate street parking and staff on hand to help you get a moving cart, and more!

Arrival times start on the hour and are for an hour only. You are welcome to arrive anytime within that hour. You can continue to move in after your arrival time, but please keep in mind that you may not have street parking access so that we can support the next arrival time block.

Please review the dates and times below, and then go to MyHomeAtPenn to select your arrival time starting on Tuesday, July 6. You are able to change your arrival time up until Monday, August 16. Questions can be directed to living@upenn.edu.

Second-Year Move-In Dates:
Friday, August 27 | Arrival times run from 8:00am to 5:00pm
Saturday, August 28 | Arrival times run from 8:00am to 5:00pm

Second-Year Day

Once classes are underway, we want to make sure that you have access to all of the resources that you need. That's why on Thursday, September 2, we are hosting Second-Year Day, just for you! This day will offer connections to campus resources that have specific programs and events for second-year students, including many found on the Hub@Penn. Second-Year Day kicks off a full semester of optional programming as part of the Second-Year Experience. Look out for more information about Second-Year Day soon!
