Making SH5 between Wairakei and SH38 safer

Thanks to everyone that came along to our community events held in October last year or provided feedback online. We had some great conversations about our plans to make the road safer.

Your feedback is important to us. We use it alongside our research to make sure we haven’t missed anything and that the safety improvements we are proposing are the right ones for the community and everyone travelling the road.

We plan to start work on the northern end of the route, from SH38 to Reporoa Road soon, but I’ll be in touch again with more information before work gets underway.
