A Kingdom Investment Worth Making

Many of us do not know where to start with the idea of bringing the gospel to a place we have never been. Cross-Cultural Missions Training (CCMT) is a one-month program that takes young men and women through two weeks of Bible teaching and cultural immersion followed by two weeks of service in a foreign context. This month serves to equip young people to overcome the common challenges of culture and to understand more fully the offer of the gospel to every people, tribe, and nation.

A Sincere Heart for Ministry

“You can only fish so much”, Sylvia Kelly joked, referring to her retired husband, Mike, when asked how they are able to spend three-and-a-half months in Neon, Kentucky. Mike and Sylvia are the new site coordinators for the Spring Neon Community Outreach, and they are as friendly as they are sincere. The Reformed Deacon, Releasing February 1, 2023

In the next episode, we will feature a popular OPC National Diaconal Summit IV plenary talk. Pastor Nathan Trice finishes out the Summit with a devotional chock-full of encouragement for deacons as they prepared to leave. He reminds the men, "So my friends, remember this when your service goes unrecognized and gratitude is not gushing in your direction. As deacons there's often a very good, godly, gracious reason for that. It's something that God has made true of you. Something that qualifies you to be a Deacon in your church. It is your readiness and willingness to serve apart from applause, apart even from gratitude from men."
