Celebrating His Birth at His Cross December 18 • 9:00 & 11:45 AM For the first time, Pioneer will commemorate both the birth of our Lord and the death of our Savior. These twin themes of
majestic joy and worship converge on Sabbath, December 18 (both services), as we gather at the manger and the cross to celebrate the infinite sacrifice God made to save His earth children. Why should such a celebration be so unusual? Especially when both dramatic narratives culminate in the summons to “come and worship.” Mark your calendar for a memorable Sabbath at the feet of Him who was the Christ Child and is now and forever the Savior of
the World.
Children's Celebration of Christmas December 11 • 9:00 & 11:45 AM As a reminder, you're invited to bring a new, unwrapped toy to share for ages newborn through 16 this Sabbath.
These will be given to the children in our community. Please drop off your unwrapped gifts in the designated areas as you enter the Pioneer Sanctuary.
Familiar Tradition Returns on Christmas Day December 25 • 9:00–10:15 AM
Pioneer Commons The good news is the Pioneer Safety Committee has given us a green light to once again enjoy our annual Christmas Breakfast in Church, this year on Christmas Day (safety measures).
The same delectable breakfast of breads, muffins, and pastries, with breakfast casseroles and hot/cold cereals, and plenty of fruit and fruit juice will be served. But for the pandemic, our special events volunteers will be masked and gloved—and all who attend will be masked and the tables appropriately distanced. But even so, a festive Sabbath morning it will be together.
Please bring your favorite breakfast items to share with the rest:
A - G—bread, muffin or pastries;
H - P—breakfast casseroles or hot/cold cereal;
and Q - Z—fruits.
And "God bless us, everyone!"

Feast of Lights December 10 • 7:00 PM
Pioneer Memorial Church With the rise of COVID-19 cases in our community and county, the 48th annual Feast of Lights program will be live-streamed for our community. To provide enough physical distancing we are restricting the in-building audience to just a limited number of family members of participants. For many in our community, the Feast of Lights is part of our cherished Christmas traditions, we are sorry that we have to make this last-minute change. The community is invited to enjoy this spectacular night of music, Scripture, and drama honoring the King of Kings via Livestream at www.facebook.com/andrewsacademyaa or andrews.edu/livestream. It will still be an evening of lights, bells, instruments, choral singing, congregational singing, shepherds, a Nativity scene, and the retelling of a glorious Christmas story.
Pioneer Office Closure Due to the upcoming Holidays, the Pioneer office will be closed on the following dates:
Dec 14 (Tue) 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM due to office function
Dec 23 (Thur) 12:00 PM
Dec 24 (Fri) Closed
Dec 27 (Mon) Closed Thank you for your understanding and may God bless you!
Offering for December 11, 2021 Adventist Community Services If your church disappeared today, would anyone other than the members even notice? “Our neighbors are not merely our associates and
special friends; they are not simply those who belong to our church, or who think as we do. Our neighbors are the whole human family” (Ellen G. White, “The Role of the Church in the Community,” Ellen White Notes, 3Q 2016). Community Services is God’s invitation to do amazing things with Him. Hard times come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, and Adventist Community Services (ACS) is responding to individual needs, developing relationships, and committing to making a difference in people’s lives.
