Click here Golden Days of Fall GolfYes, the days are getting shorter, and yes, our hours have shifted to the fall schedule of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.—but don’t let that fool you into thinking the season is anywhere near over. In fact, many golfers will tell you that these golden days of autumn are the best of the year. Crisp mornings, comfortable afternoons, and a backdrop of brilliant foliage create an atmosphere that simply can’t be matched. This time of year brings its own unique beauty to the course. The contrast is striking—perfectly manicured greens and smooth playing surfaces framed by manageable roughs, golden fescue swaying in the breeze, and the vibrant reds, yellows, and oranges of the surrounding hillsides. Even with a summer of dry weather, the course remains in excellent shape and offers some of the most enjoyable conditions of the year. If you haven’t yet joined one of our leagues or golf outings, there’s still time. These gatherings are the heartbeat of our golf community, offering friendly competition and plenty of camaraderie. You can learn more about what’s available here. Of course, fall golf is about more than just the scorecard—it’s about savoring the full experience. This week offers two perfect chances to do just that. Tomorrow night, our highly anticipated Blues Jam returns, hosted by local blues legend Dennis Willmott alongside host band Left Eye Jump. Grab your horn, tune your strings, and maybe even sit in for a track or two. Then, on Friday at 4:30, our Couples’ Mixer tees off. Bring your spouse, a friend, or just a good attitude, and enjoy nine holes followed by dinner—the ideal way to ease out of the work week. And don’t forget, the Tavern remains a hub of activity and a gathering spot for everyone. Even as the days shorten, the doors stay open until 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, giving you the chance to settle in after your round with a good meal, a cold drink, and a view that only fall in Vermont can provide. So while the calendar may say fall, the season is still in full swing. The course is alive with color, the air is crisp, and the fairways are waiting. Don’t miss out on some of the best days golf has to offer.
